Tim, looking excited, lights a candle in the living room.
Me, getting excited, thinking, "He probably has a romantic evening with his wife in mind"
Tim runs around the apartment with a look of a happy puppy on his face, I'm thinking "wow, this is a look of true love."
Tim starts rummaging in the closet for something and emerges carrying his knife case....
I'm mildly surprised...
Tim starts taking his knives out one by one - I'm more than mildly surprised, wondering what kind of a romantic move is that.
Finally I ask innocently "Timmy, why did you light the candle?"
Get a response "Oh, I got this cool new thing for my knives, need a open flame to do something with it"
At this point I blanked out and I don't know what he actually needs the open flame for, something to do with knives...
THere goes my romantic evening.
I have a sneaking suspicion that our Oregon trip is not planned as a romantic gateway with me, but a romantic gateway with his new knife.
Oh and while I'm writing this, Tim runs into the room showing off the new lanyard that he has made for one of his knives, I try to look excited...
