Intar-web!
First time I've managed to actually sit on my computer in a while. Restricted bandwidth at current work project. The client is one of Those Clients. The kind that think internet access is bad and theft of time and needs to be restricted.
Project is going well, though, all things considered. I roll out of bed around 4-5 am or so, get on the road by 6. Beat traffic over to the West-side.
Ironic.
I moved to the East-side to be closer to work and avoid the commute. Now I'm in Queen Anne, just down the street from my old apartment. You can't win. Thankfully it's the reverse-commute, so I'm not going with the worst of the flow. Usually only takes me 20-30 min to get home from Mercer on top of Queen Anne, to Kirkland.
'course lately I've been spending my time up in the U-District at UW Medical. Turns out my mom had gallstones. Then her liver decided to not work right any more. Now she has Pancreatitis on top of that. Gallstones are done. Pancreatitis will fix itself after a few days of starvation.
The liver issue, however, is more long term. They think it's probably
PSC , seeing as the symptoms fit and she does have Chrones Disease. They put a shunt in her liver to re-open a jammed-up bile duct, so she's no longer turning brown. Which is good.
That will fix the near-term. Long term? We don't know yet. It isn't cureable, just treatable. So we'll see what happens.
Think I'm now going to go crawl into bed.
