Vancouver BC Tea Party Sept 4th, 2011 Photos
Last weekend, kurasuneand I held our first High Tea Party (outside of a restaurant, hotel or otherwise). It was our first time preparing everything from the food, to decor and presentation. Since it was our first go at it, we decided to keep it small and test out our abilities amongst a small group of the local lolita community (we had a few people who couldn't make it unfortunately but I promised to share photos XD). I won't bog down the post with preparation photos or other things but we will be posting more about it in our blog Wicked Details
First off the Menu:
Savouries

~ Three Types of Parisian Macarons ~
Chocolate filled with Chocolate Hazelnut
Ginger filled with Lemon Buttercream
Vanilla Scented filled with Berry Compote filling

Served with a variety of teas...
We had a lovely time with the few girls we tried this out with, and likely we'll be doing this again and opening it up to a larger group as this one turned out so well. Everyone who came loved the food - there was more than enough food to go around and we did end up with some leftovers even though a couple of us hadn't eaten much the entire day. kurasune and I were a little over zealous on the amounts of food but we'd rather have people overstuffed than scrounging for food after, still hungry.
And just to round everything out, photos of us :) (we just got our Wonder Story JSKs in shortly before! Lucky!) Warning...we do like to be silly! And by the time we got around to photos I'd ditched the petti XD (so warm inside the house that day) so only the poof from the built in petti - so please forgive the lack of epic poof of my skirt >.<

All in all very much fun was had! The feedback regarding the food and decor was very positive.
