An early Halloween fic, because it's always the right time for that. :)

Actually I think this fits bradygirl_12's Halloween challenge, but I forget to bring all that posting info with me and don't feel going to get it now. I'll put it in tomorrow.

Anyway...

Title: Tell-Tale Hearts
Fandom: worlds_finestPairing, characters: Clark Kent/Bruce Wayne, Jonathan Kent, Martha ( Read more... )

fic: superman/batman

This was so funny and sweet! I didn't want it to end. Some parts were simply hysterical, like this:

Ma still bursts into tears if anyone mentions Bisquick.

And the whole thing with Martha, and the part with the costumed kids. You did Halloween proud. Plus, there was so much sweetness and love between the guys in this. I really enjoyed the way you included some important bits of characterization, about Clark feeling like there was a limit to the amount of affection he could expect Bruce to tolerate, or that Bruce would show Clark the picture he took at Disney one day. Just so many little details that made this story special. Bravo, mon ami. You rocked this!

OK, trying this one more time.

I had way too much fun writing this one, so it's lovely to know that comes across and is shared.

My only regret is having no artistic ability, because I'm dying to see that pic of little!Bruce in Mouse ears! LOL

So glad you enjoyed this, thank you!

Omigoddess, this was PERFECTLY PERFECT, Riley! :)

Yes, put in your info (you've used quite a few prompts, yay!) and I'll make note of your entry in my journal. :)

Trick-or-treating is one of my favorite things ever about Halloween, due to happy memories, and this was adorable! And as tmelange said, you added such nice bits of characterization.

Poor Martha and Bisquick! ;) And cute batty cupcakes must taste SO good! ;) Poor Bruce, poor little rich kid never seeing It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!. Glad Clark rectified that. ;)

Nice little touch of angst as Bruce wondered if Clark had played catch with Jonathan to help control his strength and his own memories so few, though it was sweet to hear later that he'd brought Dick to Disney World. Awww! :)

No green M&Ms! *nods firmly* Either Clark's Superman or he thinks he's a rock star. ;)

Bruce getting into it with Wolverine was a riot, and Batman coming to Superman's rescue...happy sigh. ;)

I'll definitely be bookmarking this to read over and over again! :)

Foolishly, I really thought this would be the scene with the costumed kids and not much more. Oh well, it does seem to have turned out okay. :)

No green M&Ms! *nods firmly What do you suppose he did when they served lime green Jello-O at school? LOL

I'm so glad you enjoyed it, it was a blast to write!

Heh, those plot bunnies can get away from you! ;)

I loved Clark's sweater! Naturally he's wearing one with a bat decoration. ;)

Are't they? I was just looking for Halloween treats in general, but when those popped I knew they had to go in the story somewhere. :)

Now if only I could actually make cupcakes. My one and only attempt was an appaling disaster. :(

This was such a funny and sweet story, and a very good Halloween one too. It was so odd reading Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne with references to the Peanuts and Bisquick. And Clark not liking green M&M's, so quirky and lovable.

Love imagining sex in an old squeaky twin size bed.

“even if you took out Superman, don’t you know The Batman’d come down on you like a ton of bricks? Nobody messes with what’s his and gets away with it. The Batman, he’s like a gazillion steps ahead of everybody.”

Even children know the truth. XD

I liked this so much! Such details you put in the story... They made the story sweeter and more enjoyable. I hope Clark will wear the silly T-shirt or sweatshirt with cute-bats on it often so Bruce will have to get him naked. hehe.

Yep, kids know the truth, don't they? :)

So glad you enjoyed this, thank you! I'm sure that sweatshirt will hold some special memories for them both from now on. :)
