Every morning should start like this...

Sep 22, 2010 10:37

First, waking up to the sound of rain. We've been needing it badly, plus I just like rain.

Second, catching Tom Jones (my first Welshman) on Good Morning America, and then Chris Meloni over on Today.

And third, going out for a walk in the previously mentioned rain.

Bliss.

Although, of course, that probably means the rest of the day is downhill from here.

Fall television, take 2, and ...

NCIS OK, possibly for the first time ever Mike Franks did not annoy me. Didn't even mind the little bit of bonding with Jackson. Good wrap up to the season finale, with some real suspense. After all, this is a show that has been known to kill off major characters, including some that we love (Kate), so there was some nail biting re: Jackson.

Watched NCIS Los Angeles for a few minutes once more, once more failed to get interested, and switched over to baseball, then tried out Detroit 187, which was ... ehhh. Nothing we haven't seen before in Hill Street Blues/NYPD Blue, but I'll give it a few more episodes, for Michael Imperioli and the Detroit setting which makes a change from New York, L.A., and Chicago.

And tonight: SVU is back -- and one of the guest stars is an old favorite, Peter Strauss. I loved him as Rudy Jordache in Rich Man, Poor Man and assorted TV movies.

television: detroit 187, television: svu, singers; tom jones, television: ncis, weather, actors: christopher meloni
