It's cold and rainy and the leaves are already turning. Yep, gotta love Colorado, where the weather just flips a switch and decides yep, summer's over, time for fall.

And it's shaping up to be just a wonderful weekend for a Jeep trip. *evil, and yet also cryptic cackle*

I can't stand Peyton.

that is all.

Nope it's not.

I really can't stand Peyton, never have actaully. I thought for a long time he was a little over-rated, but then it went more to there were other quarterbacks getting little or no attention, I mean, there are quarterbacks out there that deserve to win a superbowl too, and have won them and are still in his shadow, they just don't push themselves into every possible promotional campaign possible.

*okay that sounded a little bitter, sorry.*

He's talented enough, but yep, there are other guys just as good, or better on any given Sunday. Some team or player is always getting shoved in our faces like that, though. To this day I can't stand the Dallas Cowboys, for instance, just because they were proclaimed America's team and were on Monday Night Football every other week.

Re: Cryptic Jeep trip? Is this a real or fic-cish one? Are you being sarcastic or hinting? Hmmm.

Re: Weather. I realized the other day that I have become completely oblivious to the fact that the weather is changing elsewhere. When I saw the pics from the Oz signing and Chris was in flannel and Chuck Zito had a big coat on, I wondered WTF? It's 90 degrees out! But I guess, maybe not. *smacks self*

Re: Football. Sigh. That was a tough opener for the Dolphins. I really had my hopes up for a while there too. Well, at least their offense looked a little more creative and confident than it has in the past few years. As for the Cowher kiss... loved it! And, I gotta ask you. Doesn't Bill Cowher sometimes, from certain angles, and especially with a cap on his head and scruff on his chin, remind you of someone?

Re: Fic. Post it! Post it!

Sarcastic. *g* My brother's headed out with a bunch of people from the place he works, and after the 3-day weekend of aggravation I'm taking just a teensy bit of mean pleasure in thinking of them slogging through the rain and mud. (Although mostly I hope he has a good time.)

And hmm, I hadn't thought about it, but yes, from certain angles and all there is a bit of a Cowher - Meloni resemblance. Cowher's scruff probably helps with that, as it tones down his prominent chin just a bit.

LOL, hopefully I'll work on my Five For Six fic this weekend and you're problem will be solved, although FIRST IS GOOD!

And on a similar note, if one were to write a B/K AU based on Billy Wilder's The Apartment, would you be interested in looking it over? *cough*

First is good, and I will happily defer that honor to you. *g* Think I'm just a bit worried about doing it wrong, and I don't want to make a pest of myself with questions.

And, umm, yeah, I would be very much interested in looking at a B/K version of The Apartment. Interested as in: Eeeeeeee, OMG, yay!!!!!

Toby as Jack Lemmon? Chris as Shirley MacClaine?

Oh, and I think I spotted you finally posting that Eddie/Elliot fic. Yay on that too. *g* I was wondering what had become of it.

Yup! I've got the general outline done (in my head, LOL) and have made a slow start. I was thinking that Howell could play the Fred MacMurray role...but that might squick people out, LOL.

But LOOK:

Tell me that smile isn't dead on! ;)

(And sorry the fic got delayed. Long story! At least it's finally up now.)

Oh yeah, even with Jack being dark haired, the resemblance is really strong. IIRC, Lee has even commented that people have told him that, like if they ever did a biopic for Jack, he should get the part.

*urp* LOL

Although, that could actually work, since Sheldrake is supposed to be a rat. My first thought had actually been Schillinger, although that's pretty squicky too.
