A big ol' (very overdue) update!

Hello everybun!

Riley-Rascal here. It's been too long and I have much to tell you!

First off, thanks to all your lovely comments about Pepper. We had quite a scare with her the day after she came home from her surgery. There was nerve damage because much of the tumours were wrapped around her nerves in her neck and face. She has lost movement of her right ear, some blink reflex to the eye and the feeling in her cheek. The first 24 hours were bad, her mouth was hanging to the side, and she couldn't eat. We thought she had lost control of her jaw all together. We went to the vet that night very much expecting she would have to go to the bridge, but while we were there, she proved us all wrong. The vet was poking around in her mouth and she CHOMPED down on her finger! Pepper had decided she wanted to fight.

Since that night Pepper has improved greatly. The eye is managed with eye drops and she is on metacam in case there is any pain. We know the tumours will come back (confirmed as salivary gland carcinoma by lab tests), but the vet says they are pretty rare in buns so aren't sure on a time scale. She is back to her old self though now (despite looking like frankenbunny!) and is hopping around, begging and binkying like normal.

Ok enough about Pepper, and more about ME!

Well first off mum took me to the vets today for my VHD vaccine. It was fine and all the vets (mum knows them for werk experience there) fussed me. They also had a look and confirmed what mum thought, my jingle bells have arrived! So mum is getting me booked in with the vets in the new year because hopparently they can't stay.

In other news, I have been helping mum put together a hamper for the rescue centre bunnies here on the Isle of Man. We get to go deliver it tomorrow.

And for being such a good helper mum let me have one of my christmas presents early wahoo!

We hope all you buns are well and enjoying the festive season xxxx
