Ok so its about time for another long break from livejournal. Reason being I no longer see the point in a. publishing your life on the internet and b. doing it anyway, and then waiting for people's comments. Let me explain that last one. Livejournal is to write about what YOU want. Which, as we all are members of the human species, usually tends to be about OURSELVES. So, let's say you had a crappy day. You log on, write something along the lines of: "My day sucked. Failed blahblahblah test and there's another in 4 months. A monkey ate my ferret and then I had to dissect my spanish book." Fine. There is your statement, and then what happens next? People read it. People decide to comment on it. This is all just grand up until the point where they go, "Awww poor (insert name). You know what really sucks? A rabbit ran through my yard and I flushed the toilet." And you know what? Not only do I, with my sucky day, not really care about your rabbit-running or toilet-flushing, but I also now must add your name to my "impale with a giant stake" list and mentally scream at you, "WHY THE HELL DO YOU READ MY JOURNAL IF YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT YOU'RE JUST GOING TO SAY YOUR DAY WAS WORSE, OR SOMETHING BETTER HAPPENED TO YOU, OR JUST OUTDO IT IN ANYWAY THAT YOU POSSIBLY CAN??!?"
