AHHHHH!!!!!
God you leave for four days and just chill but the world back here has
to keep going! So yes, the lake was the usual basically. Actually, not.
We wound up not getting there until like 2 on Friday and then we spent
the rest of the day painting our (the kid's) room, and let me tell you,
it was not easy. It was tedious, and you had to be neat, and it took
like 8 friggin hours! And even after that, I couldn't sleep in my own
bed because we couldn't put it back in the room until after we
carpeted it, which took ALL of Saturday. I kid you not. Every last
flippin moment. Except the one really cool part about all of this is
that our room really does look better and the very best part is that I
got curtains! Around my bed I mean, not the windows. My bed is sort of
in a nook, and now there are sheer, drape-y curtains closing off the
nook (which is just my bed now that the bed is there), but if it
weren't for the two monsters I share the room with, I would so totally
feel like a princess!
But aside from that, I really haven't done a damn thing this break. Ok, well you might have guessed that I saw Catie since my language is a bit more colorful, and yes, Catie, Emily and I hung out Thursday night, but I mean, half my break is gone! I was supposed to have finished my homework by now! The idea was to get it done and chill. Complete, utter relaxation. Plus I need the extra time to do things like clean out my closet, for which it is way past time. Call me nuts. Go ahead. I know you do anyway.
Eric's birthday is tomorrow. He's getting a saxophone (rented w/ lessons) cuz he was going to switch over the summer anyway and absolutely no video games. He's going to be completely devastated. Or he would be, if it weren't for Emma. Who is the new household member. She's a guinea pig. She was supposed to be something scaly that needed like no care but was fun to watch. But no, we had to get something that needs care, has no scales, and still is fun to watch. Stupid ass brother (see the influence Catie has on me?!?)
Must be going now. Still have 2/3 of stupid novel to read. I was supposed to be done by now.
