I Am The Seer

Feeling slightly epic, I made a self fullfilling prophecy yesterday. I called in to work with a case of the flu since I didn't feel like jack hammering on the hottest day of summer. Guess what happened? I woke up today with the flu. "And lo' he awoke with stomach pains, dizzieness, and nausea, as it was written. Amen."

Amazing really. Most people need to pay a fortune teller for that kind of forecast. So long Nostradamus, it's the reign of Nathandamus from now on. And what's my next prediction? Monday I'm going to call in to work with a case of the blowjobs.

So anyways, today I was sick in bed and trying to figure out what had so suddenly put me in such a sorry state when it came to me. I was suffering from headache, nausea, dizzieness, and other symptoms related to dehydration and malnutrition. I work outdoors in what this past week could be called truly "extreme heat", doing hard labor. And in all my wisdom, what do I live on? Water and Peanut butter sandwiches. I don't even include the jelly since I think it's gross when not on toast. For the past week, I've lived on bread, peanut butter, and water.

But I had lived on that all summer, so why now? Why now do I get sick? Then I remembered that I had decided not to drink as much and had not let myself have a touch of alcohol for over a week. AND THAT'S BAD. Studies have been done, and it has been indisputably proven that alcohol dependency is a construction worker's saving grace. They call guiness a meal in a can for a reason. It has large amounts of salt, carbohydrates, calories, and all the other minerals needed to refurbish the fluids of a person who's been outside for a long time. Well, besides for the fact it's a dehydrating liquid. But drink it with water and you have everything the body needs!

So I went out and bought my favorite beer, Christian Morleiner OTR and have spent the day sipping water and drinking the ale. And just as I expected, do you know what happened? I got INCREDIBLY nauseus and dizzy. But at least now I'm having fun doing it!

HEYO!
