Man, the British kick our asses at comedy. We have Seinfeld, Freinds, and The King of Queens, and they have Extras. I've been watching the clips from Extras non-stop. It is one of the funniest shows in the world. The premise is a few people are trying to make it in the acting world so they keep being extras in movies and other productions. This allows them to run into several of Britain's best actors who use the show to completely make fun of themselves. Watching these British movie icons hack away at their good names and commonly held perceptions of them is awesome. My favorites so far are from Sir Ian Mckellen, David Bowie, and Patrick Stewart. Orlando Bloom is surprisingly brutal in his self -representation, and David Radcliffe really answers why he'd ever take part in a production of Equus. Chris Martin is only slightly amusing, but the rest are hilarious.
