You could always take the "I feel writting an essay on this topic is utter crap" approach to that essay. Write an anti-essay! I did it in college once cause the essay topic was horribly boring to me so i wrote a whole essay about why I felt this topic was crap and gosh darn it I still got a B!

I had to write a paper last year about how to make Detroit a better place and instead I wrote about how to make the class more worth my time and less bullshit. I got an A :D

The thing is, if I get accepted to the honors program that the essay is for, they'll pay half my tuition. I'm not sure I want to risk it....
