You know what was good? The Tegan & Sara concert.

They sounded amazing and made funny jokes and Sara had the shoes I want.

I wasn't sure they would do Knife Going In, but they did and it was beautiful. I thought it might be one of those songs that performers are okay doing in studio, but are too emotional to do live. Christina Aguilera has one about her father that's like that. Anywhich. I was glad, though, because it's one of my favorite songs from the new album.

My other favorite song, Are You Ten Years Ago, I wasn't sure would translate well live. But it did. It was different, a lot more heavy on the drums and obviously nowhere near as electronic-y. I honestly just love that song. The lyrics match the music so well emotionally, I think.

Just before they finished going through the new album (backward) someone shouted out for them to do This is Everything, which happens to be my favorite T&S song, ever. Like ever, ever. And Sara says, "I'm sorry, I'm not going to be doing that one tonight." Sadness. (katie is here now and she is standing watching riley type and is kind of wanting to watch hannah montana but that's okay, whatever. she is also hearing tegan and sara for the fifth million time for the day. yup.)

And I get to see them again in November! Yay, so very yay.

Kylee Rae asked for a pen after, because apparently she writes songs while she's at shows. So she wrote on her hand a bunch of random words, including "tambourine," that remind her of the lyrics she wrote. It pretty much made my life.

I really need to start hanging out with people. I was thinking about it today, and I really won't have that many friends at school next year. And the people that I've been seeing this summer aren't exactly what you would call friends so much as acquaintances. They don't call me and invite me to things, I just end up places anyway because Katie always brings me and everyone always calls Katie. I suppose it's really just that I have to take the initiative to call people myself. But how awkward would it be, to call these people that never hang out with me by choice? Ugh, I'm going to bed.
