I was in the pet shop today and there were four kittens in one huge kitten cage and I immediately went "FOB!Kittens!".
Two of them were asleep in the top of the large cat cage. They were Pete and Patrick kittens; one was a light orangey-marmalade color, kind of a light creamsicle if you remember what those are, and it was curled up and mewing pitifully and indignantly. The other was a creamy color with the gray-blue ears and tail, and it was completely glommed onto the Patrick!kitten; it was totally conked out on top of the Patrick!kitten's back, legs wrapped around it, tinypaws digging in and underneath the other cat's body and into its softsoftbelly, face burrowed into its back. The Patrick!kitten tried to move, and the Pete!kitten just moved with it, would not let go, even though it was sleeping so deeply it didn't wake up when I stroked its ears (and yes, I checked; the Pete!kitten was indeed alive).
And there were two other kittens on the lower part of the cage, chirping at each other, same colors as the other two. The cream and gray-blue one was super-friendly, but acted really funny. When I walked over it was batting at the crinkly little toy balls that are scented/flavored with catnip or whatever that the pet shop people had put in there. I swear to you, Joe!kitten walked like it was fucked up, kind of zig-zagging around in order to reach its destination (me). Once I started petting it it got this look of bliss on its little face and kept following me and insisting on pets as I moved around trying to see the Andy!kitten.
Andy!kitten was a darker marmalade than the Patrick!kitten (teehee, firecrotch!kittens). It was a bit standoffish, though curious and alert, and warmed up to me slightly as I stood there and didn't make any sudden moves. After Joe!kitten co-opted me for pets, Andy!kitten decided to amuse itself. It sat in the litterbox, then stood up still in the litterbox and chased its tail for a minute, then proceeded to go and sniff at the crinkly little toy balls that Joe!kitten had been playing with, very suspiciously, as if they'd bite its tinytinynose off.
