who's had a shitty day?! * raises hand*

so yea... had a shitty day at work? well here's how you fix it...    lots of alcohol... not really, but right now it would help. After a year of this all the anger of this job has finally caught up to me... T-T
i have a lot of shit to do where i work.... and it's tiring. here's my daily chores  list:
  • work register
  • take callin and fax orders
  • help make food and drinks
  • bring food and drinks out
  • clean all tables
  • sweep front
  • make teas and coffees
  • clean prep table (means cleaning lots of small food containers and refilling them, which takes at least 30min)
  • wash dishes
  • sift flour
  • was grates and baskets at end of night
  • refill any sauce that needs it
  • take inventory to make sure we don't run out of anything
  • sweep back
  • bring outside chairs in
  • change trash bags in front, bathrooms and middle area
  • sometimes make food for their kid
  • sometimes pick their kid up from school
there's more but i think that's enough for now...
i also don't get an official break but i do get two free meals a day and several drinks and i get to fart around for maybe an hour or two inbetween  rushes, but that's after i clean up from the noon rush....

all of this is not what pisses me..... what pisses me off is that i get in trouble on the day i came in two hours early to help out because my boss is starting her new job at singing river hospital (by the way she owns the shop). when she finally came in the first thing she did was tell me not to be on my phone in front of customers, technically i was on it but i wasn't talking the lady put me on hold  and i just had the phone in my hand.... i realize that i shouldn't be on my phone in front of customers, but i can't count the number of times i've had to go out of my way to do stuff that they should be doing because they were on the phone. i also can't count the number of times i've had to turn the music up as loud as it will go so the customers can't hear them yelling at each other or someone on the phone...
i also got in trouble cause i made a smoothie wrong... but it technically wasn't wrong. the yogurt was just frozen and didn't blend well and apparently you're supposed to add water when it's like that but i wasn't told that.
the majority of my problems at work come from my bosses anger at each other and they vent it on me....
times like this make me glad i'm moving... into another job that'll probably be just as bad for different reasons...
