Soundtracks to life...

May 17, 2011 13:17

For a non-sinister reason (kinda) I need futuristic, suspenseful or sinister music for a soundtrack. Any suggestions? I'll happily take film suggestions to look for soundtracks for! Should be suspense rather than horror, but horror rather than action (if that makes sense?)...though I guess Hitchcock will be something of the feel I'm looking for...

Try Vangelis. They did the soundtrack for Blade Runner.

~shifty look~

As it's Shadowrun I'm running I may already have Bladerunner and some of their other stuff - it's really good though!

It's a good soundtrack - though a lot of movie soundtracks are just generally good!

Try the Matrix soundtrack album, that's pretty good.

Just the original one or the later films too?

Err, well. I've only heard the first one, so the others might be good too...

The soundtrack to Source Code is a direct homage to Hitchcock without being instantly recognisable.

Ennio Moricone's Wolf soundtrack is quite creepy.
the soundtrack to Se7en.
The soundtrack to Hanna, just out recently. Quite suspenseful with occasional action beats.

jack Nicholson, Michelle Pfeiffer... quiet aged man gets bitten by a Wolf and starts to change... how can you not have seen it? Good Glabro scenes!

Donnie Darko score. It's fairly ageless and somewhat creepy, so works well for games (I used it in a horror/suspense oneshot).

I hadn't considered that one - thanks!
