Next week I will visit Belgium, where apparently my terrible French won't be an issue as the population will speak to me in English (and not hate me too much). It's for my brother's stag do so a large level of drinking, dancing, shenanigans and foolishness will take place (though luckily my dad is coming so it's his, or the best man's, fault if/

Pack something that's rainproof. It's not terribly cold here during the day, but the nights are still pretty horrid. Or I may just get cold quickly

I think travel has been sorted out - and google has given us an Irish pub for Thursday (since it's St Patrick's day, or some such) and a place to see the rugby on Saturday (which is important!).

Thanks for the other tips - there were a number of museums (and a castle!) which look interesting, though I have a suspicion that we're not going to be going very far sadly!

How does one say "I'm sorry, I don't speak Flemish" in Flemish? I know in French (and, in fairness, in many languages it's all I know how to say!), or will google help me?
