*sigh*
My first post of 2009, and it's already starting off badly >.<
I'll start off with Youtube, since I just got ANOTHER email from them. Apparently we're all going to have to make our own music whenever we want to make music videos in the future, because Youtube seems to be cracking down on everything I've posted over the past 2 years, saying the music is already copyrighted. I understand that I don't own the music, but it's been fine to use it over the past couple of years, so why are they making such a big deal of it now?
As of this week, I've had 3 or my older videos blocked, and one of the ones I wanted to post over Christmas instantly blocked after I added it. And I think I've had enough now. Apart from Imeem, does anybody have any other good websites they know would accept my videos?
Second. Deviantart. I have a serious love/hate relationship with this site.
I've been on there for going on 3 years, but apart from the one major time when all my Twilight manipulations got taken down (which I completely understand), it has only been since I've posted Twilight art that I have been getting stick from people. I've just had
this person comment on one of my
artworks, and threaten me with it being taken down and me being 'punished' by the DA Mods. Ok, first off, I'm not a child. Second, I know I used Amy Howe's artwork, but in all fairness, my drawing is the predominant aspect of the image. It's never seemed to bother anyone before, but I will willingly take it down if it's causing a problem. I'd just rather not have someone come along and quote things to me as if the rulebook is their life and they think they're superior over me because I've done something 'naughty'.
And then there's my club that I created with Hayley,
Cullenists-Unite, which seems to be constantly bombarded with Twilight-hater comments about how bad Twilight is, and how my club is twisted because it thinks Cullenism is a real religion. Seriously, we made it for fun. It's a joke between us, because of how devoted people are to the Twilight series, movie and Stephenie herself. I don't believe in any religion to be honest, and my friends know this. Why can't people see it for the fun thing it was meant to be?
