Well, folks, it's that time of year again: the time where folks pre-vote on the voting for the fandom's own Ursa Major Awards.
I'm assuming that most people know what this is about, but for those who don't, this is basically the furry version of the Hugos, where fans vote on their favorite furry works from a bunch of different categories (most of it related to writing). Before the actual voting begins, though, there's a round of official nominations that happens.
I've got two main pieces of work that are eligible for 2010.
In the "Best Anthropomorphic Novel" category, I've got The Seventh Chakra (Sofawolf Press, January 2010).
In the "Best Anthropomorphic Short Fiction" category, I have "The Peculiar Quandary of Simon Canopus Artyle" (FurPlanet, July 2010).
(Also, I'd like to pimp out
darklingthrush's
cover art for The Seventh Chakra for "Best Published Illustration," too, because that thing is gorgeous.)
The
nomination page is up now. And there are plenty of other great works out there by other artists and writers and creators, which you might already have in mind (or you can check the Recommendation List for ideas if you're drawing a blank).
Cheers!
