I started studying it in college, like... oh, wow, was it really over ten years ago? I guess it was. (Oh, god, I feel old...)
But yeah, then I studied abroad in Japan, then I was an English teacher in Japan, and now I work in international business dealing with Japan every day.
That's pretty cool. :3 Japanese would be a useful language to learn. I'm studying Chinese Mandarin at the moment, and it's quite a bit to grasp-particularly learning to write. Thankfully, the grammar is quite similar to English, which is what appealed to me in the first place. Japanese grammar, though, confuses me at a glance.
Also, I see you have 狐 in your icon. Do you know Mandarin?
