Awww... my poor little PSP! Why am I the only person I know that <3s it? It had very sub-par launch and is the black sheep of Sony's family almost entirely by virtue of their virtually nonexistent marketing, but it has some really good games out for it. Granted, it seems like a lot of the REALLY nice stuff doesn't even make it over to North American shores, but at least it's region-free, and I own quite a few fun import games.
I guess one of the reasons the PSP gets a lot of eye-rolls is because there's a wide array of ports for the system, which I can understand would dissuade some people from picking up the system, though personally, I really like being able to take things like Disgaea and Final Fantasy Tactics on trips with me, and I got a lot of enjoyment out of new titles like Lumines, Jeanne d'Arc, Loco Roco and Crisis Core...
From the developers' standpoint, I know that because of the lack of sales for the system that there was very much a dearth in development over the past couple years because it simply wasn't a profitable platform to develop for, but so many great titles have come out recently. I can understand if the system and its offerings simply "aren't someone's thing", but it seems like the system is downright maligned, and I don't really understand the reasoning behind it.
In any case, I don't suppose you're at liberty to say what title it is you're working on, huh? ;) Let us know if it looks like something cool!
