Hey, there, everyone!
I made posts earlier in the year about the round of nominations, but now the
actual voting for the 2008 Ursa Major Awards is open!
Also, I'm very, very excited to say that my book
Thousand Leaves has received a nomination for the category of Best Novel!
To all of you people out there who have read my book and who helped to nominate it for this award, thank you, thank you, thank you so much for all your support! The people at Sofawolf Press tell me that the book has been pretty successful, and I'm just thrilled that people have liked it enough to spread the good word to others. Honestly, I never expected anything like the response I've gotten with it, and that's reward enough in itself.
Other things that are eligible for awards are
New Fables (Summer 2008 (in which I have my short story "Reattachment"), which is up for Best Magazine, and
Alone in the Dark (which includes my story "The Stars are Wrong") is up for Best Other Work.
Anyhow, there are a lot of great works up for awards in a number of different categories, and you should
go vote if you're so inclined. (You should, of course, vote for what you think is deserving; I'm just doing my part in pointing out my eligibility, not telling anyone to vote for me above anyone else.)
Cheers!
