SO. you totally get, like RUNNING COMMENTARY COMMENT. just BECAUSE i cannot believe you actually committed and finished this and wrote the marvelous marvel that is band!au!

- I CANNOT BELIEVE YOU ACTUALLY WENT THROUGH AND CALLED THEM THE LAMENTABLE DECADENCE OF THE BALKANS. so many hardcore hearts.
- billy kaplan i love you even in this universe -- with your big slouchy sweatshirt and your elastic banded wrist and all
- i love the fact that teddy's idea of conflict resolution with tommy is bear hugging him unti lhe relents; it's kind of beautiful and amazing and it makes me love teddy altman even more.
- (have i mentioned yet just HOW MUCH i just totally adore your tommy? the fact that you can make him say things he wouldn't otherwise be able to say in a marvel comic book just make me keen with delight and how UNDENIABLY UN-PC HE IS all the time. his kryptonite appears to be TEDDY'S GAYNESS. a-amazing.)

I love the details in this, like Dick Van Dyke and Halo. Nicely introspective, too.

Loved the line about "near-mythical Kate", and I actually laughed out lout in read life over Teddy's method of arguing with Tommy and Tommy laughing at Billy making rock star faces in the mirror. And I adored Billy and Teddy being hopelessly cute at each other.
