Receive a Randolph!

In some sort of strange pixel_trade ouroboros, I have been breeding (and will continue to breed) other people's sims...and then offer them to YOU for download. Unlike the other legacies, I will not be giving you the sims of a generation until the heir for that generation is chosen. Why? Because I won't be looking at their stats before then, and I generally ( Read more... )

LOL. WHY DO YOU HATE BLACK SIMS? XD

Just make her about as black as possible. That's actually the second darkest skintone in that set, but she came out pretty dark--the highlighting on the skin she was born with just didn't go with her face, though you could see that the one I gave her looked weirder when she was a kid.

That Rensim Peau set is pretty big in filesize, but I think it's nice. I like how the lips are actually pinkish on the darker tones and, even though I play with the blur ON, there's hair and bits and bobbles. I know you like hair...I don't know how you feel about bits and bobbles ON THE SKIN, though. XD

LOL CUZ IM A CAPSLOCKER ~ IM RACIST :P

Actually, i try not to download any other skins cuz when i have in the past, they have been custom tones which means it is super dominant!! are yours geneticized to the point that they dont show up as custom??

Oh yeah! Skins aren't like eyes...they are either custom and totally dominant, or they're on a spectrum. So, for instance, the ones on all these kids are between S3 and a little darker than S4. If you downloaded just Hestia's skin, and you bred her with an S1 sim, there's an equal chance her kids will end up as S1, S2, S3, S4, or Hestia's skin.

Well I know the geneticized decimals, but is it hard to do? Cuz I'd actually love to have a wide array of tones for my sims. 4 tones just doesn't feel right to me

And where's that laurince update I got an email about *stalks your lj*

It's not hard. Click that genetics tutorial tag of mine. I knew you read that thing at some point before. XD

Oh man, I brushed the touchpad with my palm and the cursor was just in the right place to "post" a partially written update.

I'm about ready to go to bed, I'm not quite finished...it's over 140 pictures, and I just can't do the last 1/3 tonight. :P

Lol I have read that before, the only problem that I have is finding the tones to use for it, that's the hard part

Haha I've done that before, tomorrow nite or tuesday I need to post a simpson update, a FC3 challenge update and get sims up for download. Maybe if I get time I can update the family tree, delete downloads I won't use and do some geneticizing/townifying

Maybe it's just as simple as being missing your Resource Tree (overview) frame? The one on the top left in my pictures? Window-->Resource Tree should get it back for you.

Oh, and make sure you're not opening a default skintone. Those don't have all the same pieces in the package.

If that doesn't do it, I'd probably need to see a screenshot of the window to have any idea...
