Deathly Hallows box office better beat this crap or Ima be pissed.
oh New Moon....oh boy oh boy. Bad idea hiring this director. All the intentional and unintentional humor in Twilight is missing from this one. It was just so bland. This review here sums up all my thoughts on the film in a way that is way better than I ever could write cause my brain is completely dead. I might have found it more humorous if I had seen it in a packed theater and/or if I had stuck to my original plan of drinkin a few beers before going lol. But I wound up going to a 12:50 pm showing on Friday (even though I told myself I wasn't going to go opening weekend but that's when my friend wanted to go so blah) so there was only a few people in the theater, mainly women in their 30s-40s UH OH TWIMOMS!
But what really bothered me was Saturday night. I went to see The Blind Side and oh.my.god. I have never seen the movie theater THAT packed ever in my life. Jesus Christ. It was swarming with tweens, teens and their moms all going to see New Moon. All ~super serious~ about it. I was just.....ughh....walking through the lobby I was doing on of these the whole time
I know I fangirl about many things but fuck...It wouldn't bother me as much if these young girls didn't take it so seriously and saw how flawed it is. Bella is a horribly selfish bitch with no personality! Edward is emotionally abusive and controlling! Jacob is physically abusive and controlling!! YOU DON'T WANT TO BE THESE PEOPLE IRL! And the books are so poorly written how can you consider it ~literature~ and brag about how they're the only books you've ever have and ever will read. I just can't......my brain hurts too much. I can't rant anymore.
