dead??? Or NOT!

So yea, it's been quite a while since I updated. No, I didn't die... close to it, but not quite. I spent last weekend (the 11th-13th) in southern Connecticut. I was in the middle of farm country (think Hollis, NH), spending the weekend with RJ's family. I met his parents and little brother for the first time. I have yet to see the twin sister face-to-face. That's probably for the best. Aaaaaaaanyway, back to the visit. I was so nervous! I'm the kind of person who always wants approval from people, especially parents. Julianne offered some comfort on this matter. According to her, her parents adore me; and they usually really aren't easy to please. So yea, I went to Connecticut and almost had a heart attack worrying over being presentable. I didn't realize how much RJ's family was into manners. I on;y made one mistake all that weekend. ONE! That was on Saturday night when I had dinner with his parents, brother, grandparents, and uncle in a higher-scale restaurant. I started eating before everyone else had their entrees... oops. To be perfectly fair, Everyone else DID get a salad appetizer. Oh well... not too bad for only one mistake. Sunday night I made a Japanese dinner for his family. I was proud of myself. And RJ learned how to make sushi and friend rice... YAY! After all was said and done, I think his dad likes me a lot, and his brother's cool with me. I'm not too sure about his mom. In the family, she's the rule maker... the matriarch, if you will. So my ultimate goal is to make her happy. I still don't know how that went... But here's hoping.

Valentine's Day was cool. RJ and I didn't do too much. We swapped presents. He got me a beautiful silver heart necklace, a red rose (which promptly started to die at my hands. Oops...), and a teddy bear (now known as Boo Bear). I was a little surprised that he had done so much. I only gave him a drawing that I had made. Granted,it did take me quite a bit of work (2 weeks, to elaborate), and was my first real attempt at realism... I was very proud of it, but a little upset that I couldn't have done more for him. Oh, well... It happens. You guys should see this thing, though. I think it's gorgeous.

This week was uneventful... kind of. The only thing to really note besides boring schoolwork was the fact that my lab partner and friend Mo went to the hospital twice in two days. You all remember how horribly sick I was a few years ago, what with my stomach issues and all. She has a lot of the exact same issues and symptoms. The hospital and doctors can't figure out what's wrong with her. So when she was back in the dorms for a while, I took care of her. I'm also taking notes for her in Chem class, getting "paid" one priority point per semester by the academic counsil. Rock on. (Priority points determine your priority in housing for the next year).

Oh, one more thing to note: I am now the Marist LGSA Secretary for next year. YAY me! I'm friends with everyone else who was elected to their positions (Prez, VP, and Treasurer). All four of us are Freshmen, so it should be an interesting next few years if we keep getting re-elected. So... yea... Go me. *^_^*

Daddy's leaving for China on Tuesday. I feel bad for my mom, having to deal with the brats for a while by herself (several weeks). I'm sure it'll be alright, though. If anything major happens I'll rush immediately home.

Lastly, Dane Cook came to Marist tonight. He was amazingly funny. AMAZING!!! And of course, I know all my girls are wondering how cute he is in person. Yes, he's absolutely adorable. The opening act was Jay Davis... very funny man. I thoroughly enjoyed him as well as Dane Cook. Awww man... kick-rump, I tell you. Whenever he did any of his older stuff (only twice!), everyone went nuts. Personally, I laughed so hard at times that my sides ached. Everyone look for his new CD, coming out next month. DO IT!

And on that note, I luv yous!!! Bye!
