That's why I decided to post today, when things are actually going my way.
I'm sitting at uni after the first meeting on my new job. Yes, you heard it. Job. Actual work as a journalist, though only on the side.
I've gotten responsibility for the journalism part of a network and am very much looking forward to writing again. It's a lot of science-stuff (marketing, culture and consumption), and I think it might be very interesting.
I also had a very nice birthday saturday, though I slept most of it away, since i came back from New York early in the morning. Yes, you heard it. I spent a week in New York with my parents, a gift from them when i finished my bachelor more than a year ago now. The weather was wonderful, the sights amazing, the food great (we went for a two michelin star meal). I am looking even more forward to our delayed honeymoon this summer, when we're going to California.
There's also my studies, they're going well, but I feel like I need to focus more on them (which is not going to be easy, I think, since I'm working aswell now). I'm preparing for next semester, where I'll get to choose my own specialization. I'm choosing something along the lines of culture and digital media, hoping to combine them for work afterwards. A notion that my new job fits well with, since I'll be writing for web, newsletters and a magazine.
It seems like, last year I couldn't do anything, I could barely move, and now I have so much on my plate, it's hard to handle almost. But I shouldn't complain, cause I'm not really bothered. I'd rather have lots of things to do rather than nothing at all.
So, back to work.
