random blabbings..
I had a loooooong week! I finally have my hospital duty again after three months! Well, this week isn't tiring yet, since it's still the orientation wave, but passing by the halls of a charity ward makes me tired. Imagine, a 250 bed capacity hospital houses 400 + patients! And most beds are occupied by 2 people! As we tour around the building, our Chief was telling us that most wards have 50 to 100 patients with only 2 nurses and a nursing assistant on duty. That ratio won't meet the quality care a nurse should render! With that huge number of clients, my whole 8 hour shift isn't enough to carry out orders, do some charting and give medications.Not to mention the patient's relatives who bugs you with what's this and what's that! sheesh... That's why i salute all my fellow nurses who does their job well! *They are just so GREAT!* enough with the hospital talk, it's just depressing.
During the orientation, i met interesting people, especially the two girls, who like me, is struggling to get this job as a staff. What fascinates me is that this two girls, have the same name as i am! It feels weird especially the first time we introduced ourselves to each other...On our first day, i sat at the back of the room and sat right next to a loud mouthed girl. Reserve as i always was, i didn't approached her, since she's busy chatting with her other seat mate. On the other hand, the girl sitting in front of her is just silent, (Yuki Nagato-like silent) and she's just there, seated, not talking, not anything. I was just observing things, when finally the loud mouthed girl faced me and asked me my name...
Girl 1: Ano name mo? (What's ur name?)
Me: huh? ako? Maricar.
Girl 1: * i saw her eyes as if it was lighting up!* Talaga?(Really?) ako rin, Maricar name ko!(Me too!!! my name is Maricar!)
Me: *glad to meet a girl with the same name* Ah talaga? ahehe, first time ko may makasama na ka-name ko eh! (Really? It's my first time to have a seatmate with the same name as i do!)
Girl 1: blah blah blah blah....(she talks)
Me: blah blah blah blah...(i talk! haha!)
*and we have a rolling conversation about everything for 30 minutes*
Our supervisor calls out each to see if everyone is there, when she called a certain Maricar, who is not me, neither the girl i was chatting with. Both of us were surprised when the girl sitting in front of her(the Maricar i was talking too) raises up her hand.
Girl 1: So your name is Maricar too!!! (pertaining to the girl in front of her)
Girl 2: yes. (note that she barely speaks)
Girl 1: Nice to meet you Maricar! btw, This is Maricar (pertaining to me). My name is also Maricar .
*and she chats again with her other seatmate* blah blah blah....
Me: *smiles but feels weird*
The next day, i sat on the other side of the room, away from the two Maricars. It's just troublesome when someone call that name, the three of us all turn our heads! hehe..
ACTUALLY, the highlight of my week is that... i LOST 10 pounds!!!! wahaha! it's all thanks to this bite plate stuck in my mouth, my food intake was cut to half! i have this bite plate to straighten my tooth and it will stay there for at least 2 months. I've been wearing it for one week now and i lost a significant amount of body fat! thanks bite plate!
It's my off duty finally tomorrow, and i already have plans of spending my off wisely. I'm gonna ransack the bookstores tomorrow to find a particular treasure i've been looking for! hehe..
and...i finally changed the layout of my LJ! good thing there are premade layouts, thanks to the one who made this!
