Why is cleaning other people's houses so much fun?

Yay for spring cleaning! It's gotta be pretty satisfying. (I have recently learned how satisfying it is to dig massive holes; archaeology trips will do that, and I have no doubt that finally learning what color the carpet is contains equal satisfaction.)

The carpet wasn't really the issue. However, I had no clue that one particular chair was blue, or that there was a tan one lurking beneath another pile upstairs. It is indeed satisfying.

Ooh, and piles lurk, too. *Looks shiftily at the mass of unpacking that I ditched at my parent's house before flying off to Israel.*

These piles aren't lurking. They're bold as brass, and have grown used to thinking that the house is their own. I'm making them rethink that.
