So PoI was a mixed bag this week.
The number was super creepy with his stalker behavior and it just got glossed over. OK, so somebody wanted to kill him, but he still had like a dozen files on random women in his flat and what was up with that missing persons flyer? Did we get an explanation for that? And no, women generally do not like it, when the almost stranger that they are having a one - night stand with seems to know all about them.
Also, if Shaw wants to row the boat, let her row the damn boat, Reese. I guess if you want to be generous, you could say that Reese rowing would conform more to expectations and thus make it easier to blend in, but still. They seem to shoot for some brother sister dynamic with them, but Reeese is being one of those really obnoxious elder brother and it long ago stopped being cute.
There were bits that I loved. Every scene with Root was fantastic and I even ended up feeling a tiny bit sorry for the psychiatrist. He was slimy and a schmuck but so, so far in over his head. It was interesting that Root didn't kill Hersh in the end. Seems like the Machine does control her for the moment. Question is how long. I wonder if and when Control will realize that the Machine is more than
just a machine.
I also loved all the bits with Carter, Zoe and Shaw together. Carter geeking out over Shaw's gun and Shaw's smile in return was just too cute and I hope we get lots of fic out of that, either Carter/Shaw or Carter&Shaw, I'm not picky. I'd love to see their relationship evolve on screen but after this ep I'm not holding my breath.
Zoe was great, too. Getting some fun out of their bait mission at the club and letting John wait outside the bar at the end. I'm just not sure about that pink taser. Zoe doesn't strike as somebody who does much pink.
And of course Shaw's bonding with Bear was awesome. I forsee a custody fight that Reese is going to lose.
