Albums time 2 of 3: Pretty Chill edition
These are two of my favorite albums from 2010 so far.
BEACH HOUSE - TEEN DREAM
There isn't going to be a cozier sounding album this year, probably, and you are going to see a lot of nerds talking about Teen Dream at the end of the year so you may as well get on board with the hype and start loving it now.
But no really, Beach House has been pretty popular for a few years because they had all of the right obscure 80's influences and a way-dreamy sound that hipsters just eat the fuck up, and it always left me feeling cold. Teen Dream finally gets it right. There's this hazy, glittery feel that you can tell the band has been working hard to nail.
Just take a second and listen to Norway and tell me it isn't the prettiest thing you've heard in a while, I dare you. And that DISTORTION ugggh I could die.

I know I know the pot leaf is really annoying to me too. But it's way chill and moody and probably a really good makeout album, so there.
