Dear Yuletide Secret Santa
Dear Yuletide Secret Santa,
First off, thanks so much for plunging into this adventure! I love fanfic in general, but I absolutely love my littler fandoms. I'm sure to like whatever you write and if it's in character, I will love it hard. Possibly the “Lenny in 'Of Mice and Men'” kind of hard, but hard.
My tastes trend toward medium length stories with an interest in angsty fics or fluff fics. Plots are fun, but not required. Crack is not my speed, but funny is. If you want to see the kind of stuff I've written, AO3 has some of it, but I use the affectionately known Pit of Voles that is fanfiction.net as my home base, mostly because I'm old and lazy and don't want to take on the task of reposting everything I've written.
As for the specific fandoms:
Moonlight - Like most of the fandom, I ship Mick/Beth with irrational exuberance. I love a good Mick/Josef bromance, but I'm not really on the slash bandwagon. I love the complications of the M/B relationship, the quiet haze of trouble on their horizon, but also the quiet, domestic moments of their relationship.
Weather Warden - Joanne Baldwin is one of my favorite kick ass women of all time. I'm fine if you pair her up with someone, but it's not required. Joanne being bad ass is story enough for me.
Silver Metal Lover - Jane and Silver. OTP. 'Nuff said. More guidance? Okay, um, this is quite the angsty pair and lemme tell you, I could sup on that angst for years. On this one, I really don't have strong feelings about any other characters, except maybe Clovis.
