Well, suffice to say that when I was exploring the Highwaste, when it presented a puzzle to me, I couldn't help "Squeeeee!"ing and solving it. I did not expect to find Exodus at the end of it.
Neither did I expect to BEAT it. Actually first I was, "Oh cool an esper!" then I went "Oh shit, it's Exodus!" The first instinct was to run, then I saw that the way back was closed off. No fair! XD
It was easy to start actually, because it just so happened all my initial party members were already wearing ranged weapons, so they spaced themselves out pretty far.
After Paling started, my only gambits were Ally:Any --> Raise, Ally:Any --> Reflect and Ally:Reflect --> Bio. No Opal Rings yet :P so, yes... I was crazy enough to actually do the Reflect bounce with Bio, despite not having access to items. Cure/Cura/Curaga were rather useless XD One Scathe/Flare at that point = more than my highest Max HP, so I didn't mind casting Reflect on myself (despite no items). My party spent most of that last 20% of HP dead but it actually did the trick XD after some time of watching them die, Raise, recast Reflect, and attempt to cast Bio before someone else dies (usually I tried to run away with the targetted character to give the others enough time to cast Bio). Bubble (Bubble Belts in particular) might have worked... hm, maybe I should've tried it.
And I was wondering why reflect wasn't working on myself -_-;; I just read now that Exodus casts the spells on himself... -____-
Funny because I only had the story espers at the moment. But I still don't wanna go after Adrammelech and Zalera until I have the Canopic Jar... ^^;; 150k more gil to go... (it would be 100k to go if I didn't realize that there was better gear at the Highwaste *sweat*)
Probably going to go after Roblon and Carrot, my last two active marks before consciously going after espers. Hopefully, running around in those places will give me enough money for the jar.

No cute stories about JIF today even though he visited yesterday, sorry XP

Another pet peeve of mine, I've realized, occurs when I'm shopping or eating out: I love making idle chatter with the waiter/saleslady/check out girl, and when they react, I am utterly pleased.
But, when I make a joke or tease them, and they continue to look sullen or blank. I don't know why it annoys the heck out of me.

I hate waking up and it's raining.
Actually, I love waking up when it's raining.. kasi ang sarap matulog ulit pag ganun
And that's exactly the problem! T_T It makes me sniffle to think "Waaaah I have to get up.. need to go to work..." Or worse, that I have to get up sooner, thinking "Oh crap.. floods... traffic..."
I love waking up in the rain... as long as there is no work on that day.
