Raaaaaaain raaaain!
I didn't go to work yesterday. I was worried about the floods and my commute. My sister in law got caught on South Super Highway for three hours because she left at 9AM.
Though apparently, my workmate who lives in BF says that he got through everything fine. Meh, oh well... it seems that it became a day where absence was excused. Still I don't think they like the thought that I didn't come in, nevertheless. Maybe they think I'm not dedicated enough...? Especially since someone from my area arrived and was fine. Oh well.
Anyway, I took the time and turned it into game time. Which game? The game that Kweasy-chan made me play. So far, it's enjoyable. I don't remember really what intimidated me initially. I think that I didn't like the battle system? Or maybe I got too confused with how things worked, especially me, who is used to having tutorials at the start of the game. But I'm fine now, and I'm glad that I have my little cheat sheet on what order to do the chapters in. ^_^
Out of the three main characters, I'm particularly fond of playing Geddoe's story. Why? I like his group. And I'm very fond of the fact that he's a more or less objective view on the stupid war XP When I'm with Chris, I'm annoyed with her fanboys whenever they scream their vendettas against the Grasslanders. The same was almost true for Hugo, where I was annoyed with Lulu for always calling them ironheads (though I didn't blame him for their treatment at the Zexen council)
Though I'm usually more annoyed with Chris's story (not Chris herself, mind you!) because of all the fannism of her, and because you get annoyed with both the Grasslanders and the Zexens on her side. I haven't seen Hugo 2 yet though, so I might get annoyed with that story as well.
Then along comes the Thomas chapters XD I looooved doing Thomas Chapter 1 because it's so... relaxing, not worrying about the stupid wars and stuff. It's so simple... hahaha...! And he doesn't care who he's talking to. Then again, he doesn't really know any better. But I suppose I like that. I love the super objective view on everyone/everything. And I actually like the concept of WHY you're recruiting characters. It has nothing to do with war!! O_o;
I have played, in order: Hugo 1, Chris 1, Geddoe 1, Thomas 1, Chris 2. About to go into Hugo 2. So far the characters I like are, in order of when I started liking them:

Those I'm sure of:
Ace - My Favorite Geddoe Follower. Simply because he's enjoyable. Actually I love Geddoe's whole group, including Geddoe himself, but Ace is my favorite of them so far. I love his role in the group and I love how they all pick on him.
Thomas - T_T He's so adorable...! And I can go ANYWHERE ON THE MAP WITH HIM! (bounded only by his level/skill that is) He's the ULTIMATE neutral. And he's such an adorable sweetie! Can I make him the hero of the game? XD
Percival - My Favorite Chris Fanboy. Because he's the least fanboyish of them haha. And he treats Chris like a person, not as a hero or idol. And he so easily makes fun of everyone else. These are the things I noticed in Chris 2. In Hugo 1 and Chris 1, I thought he was going to be the typical not-so-nice, sarcastic one. I was wrong. He's really a sweetie :D
Nash - !!!!!!!! CANDIDATE FOR NUMBER 1!!!!!!! MUCH LOVE!!!!!!!!!! *huggles him* <3<3 XDD XD XD~~ Seriously, I like the way he looks, I LOVE the way he flirts with Chris, I love using him in battle, and I blame Krissy for fueling this love more when she showed me Suikogaiden pictures XD XD Who cares if he's currently thirty-seven and married?!
Those with potential:
Hugo - Merely because I have a crush on him *was happily staring at his portrait while he was crying and yelling over Lulu* I'm worried that I might get turned off though, when I hit his second chapter, because I'm worried he'll turn into a vengeance-filled hothead.
Fred - HAHAHA. Yun lang.
Juan - He amuses me. I kinda like him. He just annoys me in battle. I always beg enemies to smack him so that he'd wake up. Why can't I attack my own characters?! I'd attack him with Piccolo every battle if I could!
I used to like Borus. I got turned off because he turned out to be such a short-tempered hothead... @_@ Leo has a chance, but it gets batted down whenever they talk about crushing the 'barbarians', and it seems he's also high up on the fannism of Chris. We'll see.
Females:
Actually, I need to see more of the females to add to this list. There are a lot of males, ya see *coughtheChrisfanboyscough*
Lucia - BWAHAHAA... yeah, XD wala lang. I looooove her interactions with Chris, seriously! It doesn't help she's my mom. (well Hugo's mom). Too bad I don't remember her all that much from II.
Cecile: Ang cute niyaaaa!! T_T ... Ahem. Yeah that's pretty much it XD
BTW, Mel scares the daylights out of me.
Chris isn't on the list... I mean, she's cool, and I like how she tries to take it easy on the Grasslanders and not just annihilate them (Case in point: The Great Hollow). But she's missing something for me. Or maybe I'm really just not into righteous noble type.
Extra note: I still choked loudly when I went into the Brass Castle Rune Shop and found a VERY familiar face.
