lol, lol, I forgot I hadn't mentioned Ratatouille. As usual, Pixar is love. I just... absolutely love the concepts they come up with. In particular, I really loved the short XD Just for its concept above all else (Of course, it was funny, but I loved the concept itself the most)
Onto the movie itself, it was also love, also for the concept, and for the script. Things that I've always loved about Pixar movies. But this time, I realized there was more.
I'm slowly coming to realize that being in my business, I'm starting to notice with more love things that Pixar makes. Yes, I'm referring to the 3D Art, effects, rendering, and all that other crud.
Should this be cut? They're not spoilers... Well whatever, might as well, I suppose.
Things that made me go "Waaaaw" were:
1) Watching Remy move through the rafters and traps, heading to a roof from the sewers. The dynamic camera angles, the details, the movement... it had my mouth gaping.
2) The scene with the rushing water. I don't think I really need to explain.
3) The 2D effect whenever he was tasting food. I really LOVED that. (Yes, I am appreciating the 2D/3D mix of art. I'm encountering it a lot at work kasi :P) I actually hope there'll be a Behind the Ears sequence on Disney Channel talking about it. Pati yung 'hallucination' niya of Gusteau... I actually think that that was a prerendered 2D image.
4) Every time there was a wet rat, lol. Watching the water dripping, and how scruffed up the poor thing looked.
Every time Pixar comes out with a new movie, it's like they keep on outdoing themselves, art-wise. In fact, I think that what they REALLY do is think "Hey, I wanna do this effect in 3D... Do you think we can come up with a movie around that?"
Just take a look. They wanted to do hair/fur. They made Sully and Monster's, Inc. They decided to play with underwater effects, and how to personify difficult animals. They made Finding Nemo. I actually think they wanted to play with the 'Rat perspective' when they did Ratatouille.
Lol. I love Pixar @_@;;
I feel like such a geek/nerd now XD
