I have officially eaten too much. And there's still half a ham and a loaf of pumpkin bread in the fridge. Dear lord, I'll never fit into my pants next week.

Simon and I are having raw veggies for dinner. I can't manage anything heavier than that.

Lovely Christmas, great food, excellent presents (3D puzzle of a Jedi starfighter!). Though crappy drive over to Statesville, downpour all the way and the roads were covered in standing water. I hydroplaned I don't know how many times.

I left work after 4.5 hours today. My plan was to go in a bit later and work at least 6 or 7, but I just couldn't do it. Couldn't concentrate on the documents, and my mind kept fixating on little annoying things (both internal and external). So I came home and watched four episodes of Gilmore Girls. I'm now halfway through season 3 and all I have to say . . . Rory and Paris fencing! Wearing tight little white trousers, whacking each other with little swords, Paris bellowing about her best friend betraying her! Seriously, if they were boys this would be the slashiest fandom ever. Sentinel, Smallville, you say. Phsaw, I say. Wouldn't even be a contest.

Also, Dean! Dean is so adorable. He's even more adorable when he stops being boy next store Dean and snarks at Jess about how he intends to become Rory's friend now, just the way Jess became Rory's friend when she and Dean were together. Also I can totally see why he was cast as Young MacGyver now.

Fannishness:

Saw the end of Dr. Who season 2 and cried like a baby. I know Billy Piper wanted to leave the show, but, oh god, it was so wrenching to me.

I actually watched this show in order and I was pretty married to Nine as the Doctor and had a hard time getting used to Ten, but now I do love him. And in rewatching S1 I realized that my love for Nine hadn't diminished. I love it when things work out like that.

Any idea when S3 and Torchwood might appear on American TV? I'd rather not download, for a variety of reasons.

I'm guessing that BSG is moving to Sunday to serve as a lead in for The Dresden Files (which I'm excited about), but it kind of screws with my social life.

Dell is vexing me. I have money burning a whole in my pocket to buy a new computer and it's not offering me the configurations I want and a price I will accept. It's pre
