Fear Can Turn to Love...

Whew! So much has happened since my last update.

I declared a French major. That's half the battle...the other half is deciding what to do with it. But for the moment I will revel in my decision.

I've been spending a lot of time with Shoko. I'm so incredibly sad that she's leaving. I can't handle it. I'm glad she's over her flu though. Last weekend we went shopping with Dolores. Shoko got an ipod. I was happy for her. (Now at night when we're falling asleep sometimes you can see the glow of two ipods as we listen to them in bed. It's funny to me.) We also went to the Outback Steakhouse for "a bloomin' onion" and ended up spending 65 dollars between the three of us and getting enough food for about seven people. It was really fun though! Then the next day me and Shoko went to go see The Phantom of the Opera (again). Shoko does a great impression of Carlotta ("love me love me! bye bye bye!") Shoko's review of the movie was the cutest thing I've ever heard. "Maybe the Phantom so stalk(er)! OOOOH! Soooo dangerous man!" So I was covering half of my face with my hand (like a mask) and terrorizing her on the bus.

Some other good stuff happened this week...I talked to Catherine (the lady who is going to hook me up with a study-abroad). I always feel happy after I talk to her. I mean, she really likes me and is working so hard to make (cheesiness alert) one of my dreams come true in the very near future. I really hope this works out. I'll be taking lessons from her starting in February. That's gonna be fun.

I also got an e-mail from my cousin Emily that totally made my day. She just talked about all this fun stuff that the family might do soon, and also said that she and Paul (her husband) were really hoping that Paul could get a residency in Seattle. Man, I would be doing backflips if they ended up in Seattle. I could transfer to U-dub and be close to them! That would be SWEET.

Here's another thing that totally made my day:
Runninginthedark: you weren't online all day and i meant to say this
Runninginthedark: but I was walking back from class today
Runninginthedark: and I just started thinking about how much I love you

Seriously, I love you Lauren. I less than three you times infinity.
