Do Not Fear Me
Hephaestion is Alexander too. Alexander has said so often and even in his actions to others in his decision making.
I know his mind. I know his heart and I know his anger.
This is only because, Alexander trusts me. Brought on by years together watered by time and some tears. That he alone has allowed me to witness. But, that trust has come with a price.
It has come at the cost of seperation, that I know only to well. To always walk with the company of mistrust. For those that want to be my friend, do they only want to be Alexander's friend? To have his ear as I do.
To be my friend is to be loved by Alexander, himself, which is also me.
Who then can we trust? To hurt Alexander is to hurt me and to hurt me (an amy form) is to hurt Alexander. For he is powerful in all that he cares for land, it's people and in love and most of all wanting to trust blindly.
I un-like Alexander am less for giving. My eyes are always watchful for mistrust in all things. So, that "MY" Alexander can love.
