Blu-Ray is winning

It turns out that the media is not going to follow the same pattern that they did with VHS, where as they took the cheaper route instead of the one for better data (Beta Tapes). Many manufacturers are stopping production of their HD DVD players, and most movie companies are changing their format to Blu-Ray. Somebody's eyes over at Sony just turned into dollar signs $.$.
I for one had hope for HD DVD. Its a much cheaper process/product, and when it comes to video quality when you get that high, it doesn't even matter that much. I love a clear picture as much as the next guy, but when they have to do a 10x zoom to show you the pixelation difference, something tells me that it doesn't matter too much.
With this news, the PS3 will probably be increasing in sales over the next year, which means the PS3 might have just been a ploy to get the Blu-Ray format into the market.
The one good thing about Blu-Ray is that it can hold 25GB of data, which for computer storage and gameplay can do wonders.
I guess it doesn't really matter for me, cause I'm still playing PS2...
....And Odin Sphere is deliciously a truly awesome game.

And its spring break.... slightly bored.

hddvd, odin sphere, blu-ray
