[A knew he'd be back late, but of course, she does have a tendency to worry, so when she hears Teru's voice, she pops her head out of the bedroom before going and hugging him.]

Hello. [He kisses the top of her head, distractedly.] Well, I have some good news.

Oh, good!! What is it, is everything ok?

I doubt it.

[He sits down, inviting her to join him.]

But he's recovered. I ran into him outside the kitchen. He looks better now than he did before.

Oh...well, I suppose that's good...I'm glad things are getting back to...well, normal, I guess...

[Teru sighs.] ...no, it's not good news, is it? I - didn't want to start the conversation off by worrying you more, but now it's just disappointing.

No, it's not disappointing!! Really, it's a sign that things are starting to get back to normal...but that means there's bad news, isn't there...?

[She sighs and smiles, taking one of Teru's hands and rubbing it gently.]

It's ok. What's the bad news?

...I think Sayu made a deal with the mansion for him. He asked me whether I knew where her room is because there was 'something that ought to be checked on', and then he told me not to upset her if I see her. And - if he'd simply died and returned, I don't think he'd have regained all his weight. Not that I'd know.

Have...have you seen Sayu? If she made a deal to help her brother, they'd have done something to her...and if it's him regaining his health, then it'll probably be really bad...

[A looks worried. She likes Sayu, she doesn't want anything bad to happen to her.]

I haven't seen her, no. From the way he said it, I - I don't think she's in any immediate danger. I've seen him when she was. But I've looked for her, anyway, in the kitchens and the popular corridors, and so has -

[He hesitates a little.] - another version of ...her brother, actually. Not Kira, I'm certain of that.

I hope she's ok...if she made some kind of bargain with the mansion, who knows what they could've taken from her...

Another version of Light? And he's not Kira...is he nice? I don't think I've met him...

You - would know him if you'd met him. He carries a sword, for one thing. He's very... very pragmatic. Straightforward. - apparently not the slightest bit manipulative, which is honestly unnerving. I think you would like him.
