Where to start...
Took my final weeks vacation before Christmas, plus Christmas Holiday and New Years, amounted to a lovely 3 weeks off work! Can't complain. Well not until next year when Scrooge decided time off in the middle of the holidays is deducted from our holiday allowance. If you ask me, it's a tad too late to suddenly change things, especially when you're only keeping the business together by the skin of your teeth.
First week back has been a week from hell. I'm starting to forget what it is I actually do anymore as it's been a while since I've spent an entire day doing Sales. I'm more an office Manager and an Accountant! Hope he is happy with the advertising sales in March when they're like 30 grand shy from his target.
J.....J......J........J. This little man is something else. Surprising us constantly with quirky statements he's picked up here and there. It seems most of us are now "pompous ole windbags"! Jungle Book has a lot to answer for! Also N is now suddenly called Little Britches instead of Daddy!
He can count to from 1-13 and counting of objects is improving day by day. He has the alphabet down from A-Z. I'd try him on writing, but he holds the pencil and scribbles like he's not supposed to really touch the paper with the lead. It's too cute to watch. Next step is helping him to learn number sand letters upon sight.
We've taken an interesting turn with his feeding. The struggles to get more than 4-5 mouthfuls into him is decreasing. He's back tracked and happily allowing us to feed him bites of food complete with veggies. Of course some spoonfuls are followed with the words from us, "if you want"... It does the trick, so who am I to argue.
I forgot to mention towards the start of winter, that Jacks eczema seems to be non-existent! We had one day where it flared right up over his bum cheeks and down the back of his legs, all bright red and sand-papery. I heavily coated him in Oilatum cream and Vaseline combined. Suddenly noticed a couple of days later, it was completely gone and his skin was lovely and soft. Woohoo! I was praying it would only be baby eczema, and not turn into a long term skin condition.
J's sleep talking isn't getting any better. He talks so often in his sleep, that I've become accustomed to waiting back a few seconds or so to listen if I need to go in to settle him back down to sleep. Seems most of the time it's his chatting that's disturbing him. When I go in his eyes are tight shut. I just tuck him in and slip out of the room.
N still hasn't called the Docs for his results on the chest x-ray. I don't like to nag him as he will only dig his heels in. Stubborn man! I'm just going with the notion that if it was bad news, the doc wouldn't wait for N to call.
When I can master "behind the link" I will post some new pics. Hopefully of me pounds lighter. :-)
