This is for school - I'm majoring in communications (or hoping to; YOU CAN HELP ME TOWARDS THIS GOAL) - we're required to maintain a blog for seven weeks, applying the communication concepts we learn each week to recent media texts. This component constitutes 20% of our final grade, and comments are a big part of the 20%. Our own replies to comments aren't counted as part of the final number, SO THIS IS ME, BEING DESPERATE AND SHAMELESS AND BEGGING FOR COMMENTS FROM WHOEVER'S READING THIS.
Links to the individual entries are under the cut! I PROMISE THAT THEY ARE INTERESTING READS. Maybe some H.G. Wells undressing to lead the way? (As you can tell, I am not above bribing.)
I have seven entries in all, and comments on any of them would be very very very greatly appreciated ♥
#1: “Nikita” - Cultural studies perspective
Re: TV series ‘Nikita’; supposedly-provocative ads banned in some parts of America
#2: Pushing the li-meats - Perception, qualities of stimuli selection
Lady Gaga’s meat dress at the VMAs
#3: tbh, it’s tl;dr - Perception, language
Virtual communication, our online identities
#4: Chuck Versus The Suitcase - Relational formation & development, Knapp’s Model
Re: TV series ‘Chuck’; analysis of Chuck/Sarah’s relationship (CHUCK FANS, PLEAAAAASE COMMENT ON THIS ONE.)
#5: I aim to be, your eyes, trophy boys, trophy wives - Collectivism/individualism
Polygamy; Kenyan polygamist with 100 wives
#6: Armstrong vs Shirvell - Mass media
Re: ‘It Gets Better’ campaign; traditional/new media
#7: All my life, watching America - Cultural imperialism
Local (Singapore) television vs American television
You don't have to use your real name or email address to comment. And If you find it to be tl;dr, you don't have to read the entire entry; I've conveniently placed prompts at the end of each one ;) Every single comment, long/short, coherent/incoherent, will be very much appreciated. I'll owe you one :)

(I promise I'll go back to my gif-making ways once this crazy exams/projects/presentations period is over!)
