The Shoppe is very very very very slow. Sitting here hoping that the phone doesn't ring. I really don't want to deal with customers anyway

Also, it's Mom's birthday.
Not really looking forward to what Kimmie's trying to plan for her. I know that it's not going to be pulled off like she wants. I think she, Kimmie's, going to be disappointed. Besides, Mom has a number of other things to worry about. So, I don't expect her to relax at the restaurant. I know I won't, too crowded no matter that it's a Monday.
There will probably be, as per usual, the spots of uncomfortable tension occurring and attempts at conversation. Most likely a small spat or two. And me wishing that we had just stayed home.
