Had my eyes checked today
Apparently my eyesight hasn't changed since I first got glasses for my nearsightedness 5 years ago. Since I didn't need new eyeglasses I decided to get a pair of Rx sunglasses. Thankfully, they had what they needed to make them so, they were ready in an hour (good thing as it was decided that my eyes needed to be dialated to complete abovesaid exam).
Damn glasses are expensive.
I've been told not to wear my normal glasses for close up work. Especially not for the computer. I'm going to see if I can find my old reading glasses, the ones that I stopped using soon after receiving the ones I now use daily, for close work. That or I'll buy a cheap pair of reflectors from one of the local drug stores when they go on sale next.

In happier news (@ least for me) the Kindle that I ordered about a week and a half ago was sitting in its box on the porch a whole day early this afternoon when Mom and I got home from dropping Kimmie off at work and a couple of errands.
Have already fiddled around with it a bit. Am slightly worried that I will break it if I'm not careful. But, I'm sure I'll get over that eventually.
Have tried to post using the device...didn't work out too well. Will try again when I'm used to working with it's klunky internet service. But, I've found that I can read fanfic on it. ^_^
