Since there hasn't been much activity here, I'll bore everyone with a plot bunny that latched onto me a while ago.
Harlan's father (Ellison Band?) is remembered as a war hero, I think. (I'm not 100% sure about that since I haven't seen the show in so long *sob*) Well, what if Band's hero image wasn't altogether deserved? Maybe he's remembered by Andromedans as a war criminal? Someone who tortured prisoners, or killed Andromedan children? The UPP could have covered this information up, not wanting to deface Band's memory.
Anyone still reading? So say Harlan finds out what his father is accused of. Radu would probably know about it, and Goddard could have heard rumors. Harlan's first reaction would probably be utter disbelief, but would he slowly start to consider the possibility that his father could have done such horrible things? Would he look further into it? What would he find? How would it change him?
Maybe this twisted idea would go well with a Harlan/Radu slash fic, but then again, everything is made better by Harlan/Radu slash.
