Oy, I really like Cat and Radu's interaction, they have a very nice chemistry in 1.02 "Who Goes Where". Does anyone have any recs of fics starring them, either as a romantic ship, or very good friends>
I just read a good four chaptered fic by Kestrel in which they started becoming friends back in the staracademy, with the future romantic ship of Cat/Harlan hinted at (and even a reference to Elmira haha), and nice Suzy and Cat friendshiop too:
I'm in with the "In" Crowd (December 1999)
Catalina has a chance to join the most exclusive group at the Starcademy. However, there's just one little test to prove herself first....

Kestrel's stories ETA: Does anyone know how to contact Kestrel? Her aol email doesn't work anymore, I just got the post fail delivery message. :(
Hello Kestrel
I remember watching "Space Cases" when I was little, and seeing them on youtube recently has really brought back the memories (along with the assurance that I wasn't dreaming up their existence after all!). I'm so sad that it was canceled, and that so much of the fandom that was booming then had fallen off the edge of the galaxy with geocities.
Reading your stories recently though (through the caches), was really nice. It was like the show was back, I could really feel the flavour of the galaxy in your fics, especially I'm in with the "In" Crowd, everyone was themselves, and I just heart them; Suzie's fear of losing Cat as a friend, Cat's battle of wills with HERSELF, Radu's woobieness...Harlan's bravado, you even manage to get why Davenport is likable after all! I couldn't like her in the beginning of the series because she was always bullying Harlan and fainting, and then she just grew on me more and more when I realise that she was actually like one of the students after all AND that she actually doesn't give up on them, and you showed that.
In universe, I like the picture you painted with Andromedan mathematics, I could really see how their way of thinking would be different. With their sense of direction (knowing where they are in relation to the universe), and the low level psi-ability, and the community life...they would have difficulty isolating math into cold formulas. That would be like asking ELizabethans to shrink their speeches down to net speak.
Thank you for writing :)
Best Regards,
Georgia S.Y.H.
