Other languages of the crew?
The Infocore says that Commander Goddard is from the country of Montréal on Earth. Being so, I like to think that every once in a while he slips a word of French in, if he's not paying attention or if he'd be drunk or something like that. I imagine he grew up speaking French and English, but hasn't used French very often for a long time.
The latest story posted referred to Radu speaking an Andromedan tongue and learning English later.
Do you think the members of the crew know other languages? (I have also tended to think that Davenport knows Latin; there's no direct evidence but it's something I think she'd study.)
