Today is Tommy's funeral. I don't know how I feel about that...I mean, he was a great guy, a good friend, and way too young to leave this place...it just didn't hit me until yesterday when I was at work and he wasn't. It's getting to where they know me by face and name at the local funeral parlor, and it is highly disheartening. In the last 5 or 6 years atleast 15 people I know very well have died. and atleast 5 of those were really close to me.
I almost have no highschool buddies left...only 2 of which were written off (that's a different thing all together)
My wife is the only person...nay only friend...left over from highschool that I still hang out with, and that's partly because she is still living...sad as that sounds (not to leave out how much I love her and hold her so high in regard).
So, this is a shout out to everyone who I care for out there... STOP DYING! I don't like watching friend after friend be put into the ground. I don't like funeral homes, and I don't like faking a happy face around your family so that we can remember the good times! Your deaths are saddening to me.
I'm done
Tommy, I love ya man, and I miss you. Maybe someday we can hop in a car and go on a ride, and sing along with every single song we know. Until then, rest in peace brother.
Tommy "Alouiscious" Clemens - You were always late, but you left us way too early.
