Guinea Pigs
I walked to work for the first time today, and it was all good. It even quit raining while I walked. :) The temp job is about a mile away and it takes me just under 20 minutes to walk it.
This is another one of my postcards, featuring my little friends, Twitch and Boo. I think this is still the best picture so far of these two... Twitch's black face is just hard to capture in bad light!
The guinea pigs have been with us for nine months now, and they are three years old which is middle age for guinea pigs. We adopted them from the humane society. Their former caretakers "didn't have time for them". grr... piggies still get overly excited when I clean their house or give them fresh water. Also they snarf down their food so quickly they choke and get stuff stuck in their teeth. poor babies!
Anyway. Twitch is the leader, and while she is more laid back, she's also less social. Boo is always on the look out (for treats and danger!) and will come and play with you even when you don't have treats.
