After talking with that smeargle (Luna?) for a little bit, Ryuzaki's come to the conclusion that if he's going to figure out anything here, he mind as well try one of these guild places. According to her, she 'learned a lot' from this 'Professor Mawile' (But really, professor?), and according to the paper...

"Are you joining the guild?" Apparently, Smeargle were going to be common for Ryuzaki. This one wore glasses though.

Satoshi was just returning from the Kecleon Market and checking the bulletin boards for any useful notices, and finding what appeared to be a prehistoric bird talking to himself was...very interesting.

"Eh?" Oh look another smeargle.

Definitely a different one though. He nodded. "Maybe. Looking for someone named 'Mawile' first though," he continues, "I don't plan on joining until I know all the details."

Satoshi smiled, though it didn't reach his eyes. "That's the smart approach. I haven't seen Guildmaster Mawile yet today, but she's most likely around. What did you want to know?"

"Well, I don't really know much about what the guild is for as of yet..." Whoops. "...But I was at least told I could figure out more about all 'this'," he continues, raising one wing/arm in gesture.

Satoshi listened quietly, then sat beside him so they were closer to equal height. "This guild is more toward the exploration of the unexplored areas around New Shaleton. There is also one that focuses mostly on helping those in need, under Smeargle. And another focusing on funds for the town's development, under Honchkrow."

Drawing a knee up to lean on, he also pushed his glasses up. "All three are apparently willing to help investigate what's going on."

"Hnn..." In that case... "So I've probably picked the right one to look at then," he decides after a moment. "With something like exploration, there's probably a bigger shot of figuring out the source of what's going on right?" ...Actually... Quite likely. (But Ryuzaki, all three guilds technically... ...Ahhhh...)

"That would make sense." Actually that was a major reason he had chosen this one. But it was also because something about Honchkrow unsettled him, and rescue work wasn't his priority.

"Though talking with those who joined the other guilds is probably going to be even more effective."

"Nn. Probably. But I don't really trust myself with rescue efforts against what I don't know, and 'Thieves Guild' seems sketchy to me..." Would you look at that, you two have almost the same reasoning.

Stranger things have happened...but nothing wrong with that. "Is that so? I'll admit to having a similar opinion." Standing, Satoshi waved for him to follow. "I'll show you around until Mawile returns."

He nods, following after. "That sounds great- thanks! It definitely looks big enough..." That's because you're a foot tall silly.

Magical artworks and DNA-related curses make for oddness. So does waking up not plagued by your homicidal blond counterpart is even stranger.

"I'd be surprised if it didn't at your height," Satoshi said. His tail left a half-circle of blue paint on the ground before lifting as he went inside. "This transformation greatly changes a person's perspective."

"Got that right," he sighs. He noticed that paint mark- that tail must be a right pain. "For the first bit I was convinced I'd woken up a dinosaur; got stuck between happy and confused all at once. Turns out I can't fly though," Ryuzaki adds, "So now it's just annoyed."

"I'm relatively certain that you'll find something useful about your new body though." It was, but not as bad as him arriving with no clue how to work the thing. Paint trailing wherever he went was not a plus.

"I'm curious what you can do."

"Heh! You and me both..! Whatever it is has to make up for not being able to fly right?"

"I'm sure it does."

Satoshi stumbled onto his ability during his first mission...since Smeargle apparently had no offensive or defensive abilities of their own. "My name's Satoshi."

A slightly bowed head- who shakes hands where he's from, really..? "Ryuzaki- nice to meet yah."
